The Black Communion Table is a gathering of legacies linked to the African and African American cultural heritage. African cooking is a part of the universal human experience. African & African American cuisine is a collection of dishes and meals that mark a distinct culture much in the way that styles of dress, music, or dance do. Cuisines behave like language families in that they are bodies of knowledge and practice “mutually intelligible” between several societies, locations, and ethnic identities.
Join us at the table when we gather once a month to celebrate a unique and educational experience guided by an outstanding chef representing various countries on the Afican Continent. The 8 to 10 course menu will delve into the history, tradition, and importance of the meal.
