The story of Broken Shelter is deeply personal and reflective of the harsh realities in our society. It sheds light on an issue that often remains hidden behind closed doors: the abuse of women and the consequences of neglect—particularly how a mother’s struggles, choices, and unresolved trauma can profoundly impact her children.

I wrote this movie because I wanted to give a voice to those who are silenced by their pain. So many women suffer in abusive relationships or carry burdens they feel unable to confront. At the same time, children of these women often bear the weight of the unspoken, living in the shadows of their parents' wounds. Broken Shelter explores this generational trauma while offering a message of hope: that healing is not only possible but essential for building a better future for ourselves and for the next generation.
As a director, my motivation is to create an honest, emotionally raw, and impactful film that resonates with audiences. I want viewers to see the importance of confronting trauma, breaking cycles of pain, and finding redemption. Through powerful storytelling and relatable characters, Broken Shelter brings attention to the resilience of families who fight to piece their lives back together, no matter how shattered they may seem.
