Kim Teems and Kirin Naulls founded BAAADU Festival Inc. in 2022. As co-founders, we are deeply passionate about fostering a sense of unity among Africans, African Americans, and the African diaspora. Our mission is not just about building connections, but about fostering a global community that celebrates our shared heritage, culture, and aspirations. In many ways, our journeys are singular yet intertwined. Africans, African Americans, and those within the diaspora have rich, diverse stories that span continents and generations. Yet, common threads run through our experiences – threads of resilience, creativity, and an unyielding spirit. It is these commonalities that BAAADU Festival Inc. seeks to recognize and uplift.
